Kataeva Varvara

Varvara Kataeva Varvara (Varia) Kataeva started Agility in 1994. For a long time her partner was a Poodle called Tim. Varia was an awardee of an open tournament in Moscow (1995) and of various competitions in Perm in the years 1995 - 1999. Owing to her dog's abilities, she used to be a member of the Perm team and proved her self as a team player there. Being extremely self-disciplined and hard-working, Varia constantly mastered her handling skills.

The audience saw Varia turn into a "beautiful swan" in 2000, when she and her young Sheltie Tissan Justas won the first place in Group B at the Russian Agility Championship, with a second-best result of all Mini teams. Varia's team won the second place.

In 2001, Varia and Justas became Vice Champions at the RKF Championship of Russia, awardees of a number of all-Russian competitions and also took part in the FCI Agility World Championship in Portugal.

In Portu Varia had four brilliant clean runs. She was the best Russian handler in team competition and took the 21st place in individual competition.

Varvara Kataeva is a student of the Perm Politechnical University. Through the whole of her Agility carrier, she is a member the DTYu (Youth Creativity Centre) club in Perm, which is trained by Alla Belaya.
